Kat and Stephen's Beautiful Bay Area Wedding
When your dream wedding venue has an opening in either three months or two years from now, you take the three month date and begin wedding planning boot camp!
Berkeley City Club
From the Julia Morgan designed indoor pool, to the secret rooftop terrace...the Berkeley City Club had everything Kat and Stephen dreamt of for their wedding day.
There is nothing more fun than getting to go wedding dress shopping!! Kat didn't have to go far, she found her stunning long sleeved antiqued lace dress by Allure in Alameda at Janene's Bridal Boutique. After getting ready at her childhood home with all ten of her bridesmaids... plus a handful or two of family members, Kat was off to Saint Joseph's in Alameda for her ceremony.
Saint Joseph's Basilica, Alameda CA
St. Joe's in Alameda is steeped in history. The chapel is filled with the most amazing light that filters through beautiful stained glass windows. When choosing a place to have their ceremony, Kat knew right away this would be the place having grown up attending church here with her family.
Cocktail Hour
Actually getting to be a part of and enjoy their cocktail hour was something that was super important to Kat and Stephen. Especially since they had a huge surprise for their guests! They had arranged for their favorite band, Noah and the Arkiteks, to get the party started!
Reception
Tradition and love is what you were filled with upon entering Kat and Stephen's reception space. From the sake barrel used for the SanSanKudo ceremony, to the stunning center pieces made by the bride and her family. Not only did our bride and groom get a sneak peek at their space, they got to enjoy a "just us" dance, a chance for them to slow down for just a moment and take a breath and let it all sink in.
Sunsets and a Sparkler Send-off
It's so hard to pick a favorite moment from Kat and Stephen's amazing day. But sneaking off to the secret balcony at sunset and leaving under a shower of sparklers absolutely tops the list!
